But I have noticed that it takes much longer to warm up to full brightness when compared to the original lamp that came with the TV.The other thing that really annoys me is that the ad and product description on Amazon site seemed to indicate that the lamp was made by Philips. This is the ONLY reason I bought it. But in fact, the lamp seems to be an aftermarket product from China. There are no markings on it to indicate where it is made or a brand name.I am really concerned that this lamp is going to die just past the warranty period. Anyway, clearly I need to be far more wary about things I buy from Amazon Marketplace. I am not pleased with this deceptive tactic in the least. 22-Nov-10 Update: The Lamp BLEW UP!. Glass shattered! Smell of burning capacitor. The whole works. THis thing is a fire hazard.
