However, though the directions in the Sony TV manual seemed confusing and daunting, the process was quite intuitive and ended up being very easy. The part arrived in perfect condition, and the hardest part was removing 3 years of cobwebs and dust from the inside compartment before replacing the part. And, after a year of dimmed light on our screen, it was just like having a new TV when I replaced the lamp! DO NOT BE AFRAID. This is truly a repair that even the most unskilled consumer can make to the Sony Bravia TV. Installation was fairly easy and simple. Now my TV is way brighter than it was before and looks brand new again.
