I did not have the money to invest into some of the higher end monitors that had caught my eye. I searched the net heavily looking for something that would fit my needs and budget. Well I found an Acer and a couple of viewsonics, and while they may not be the worst monitors in the world, I have not been overly impressed with them overall. Anyways I have the monitor at home now and I must say that I am impressed with the quality of this monitor for it's price point. The quality on the image of this monitor easily compares with monitors in the range of $50 to $175 over the list price on this item. Plus installation was brainless on my Mac Mini. I just plugged it in and instantly had the 1440x900 resolution, no problems or issues. So if you are on a tight budget and looking an excellent monitor I would definitly go with the Hanns-G HW-191D. I personally had no dead pixels, the image quality is top notch... It is a great monitor, picture is crisp, colors vibrant, nice blacks. One note, the monitor you are getting is NOT the one pictured above, there are no speaker grills on the front. The speakers are passable at best, but not really a concern, I wonder why they are even there. For the price, this is a sweet deal, nothing beats working/gaming on this vast monitor. I am a tiny bit dissapointed as I have one stuck green pixel, fairly close to the center. But this is a risk with all LCD displays, so meh. It is not very noticeable most of the time, I have to look to find it. All you need is a decent graphics card to adjust settings (1440 x 900 pixels if you are able to customize your settings/32 bit). I definitely reccomend this product. |
