MX Wall Mount LCD Arm Reviews

It mounted onto my wall and I had it installed in about 20 minutes. It took a few tries to figure out how to mount it, because I couldn't figure out which way is up. I suggest anyone who installs it mounts their monitor on it first, then place it on the wall and verify it swivels in the correct direction, then remove the monitor and mount. It is a very sturdy wall mount. I have it holding a fairly heavy 28" monitor and I have no concern about the mount coming loose or breaking. The construction of the arm is very sturdy and made of thick steel. Cables are mounted underneath the bottom of the arm. They're not completely hidden but they are out of the way.The swivel function of the arm works great. You can tilt the monitor up and down 80, pan 360, and rotate 90. The arm collapses onto itself fairly well so it is out of the way and the monitor can sit back about 3" away... I got a Faulkner Executive Recliner (basically a leather version of that outdoor zero-gravity chair you've seen a lot the last few years), a Mobo Chair Mount Ergo Keyboard and Mouse Tray System (I had to modify that rig, more info in my review of that item), and this MX Wall Mount LCD Arm to suspend my 27" iMac at a comfortable angle over the chair.I'm writing in that rig right now, having started opening boxes this afternoon. The scariest element, to me, was this item, the arm for suspending this 30-pound computer. I'd read many very helpful reviews here, and one in particular mentioned the issue of how many turns it took to tighten the tension that controls whether the computer can be used at various heights or if will just sag to the lowest...
