I had replaced the lamps three times in 7 years and finally when the color wheel broke I knew we had to replace the projector. I had figured that I had already put $800 in lamps and the repair would be in excess of $400. Because we have a surround sound system with 8 speakers, HD receiver and a 9 foot screen we were vested. I researched projectors and I was beginning to think that I would have to pay at least $1200 or more for what I wanted and also figured on replacing the lamp every 2 years. It all started when I came across some of the new micro projectors with LED bulbs. Short throw so it can be close to screen.Reads powerpoint, jpg's, nad pdf's from a USB drive which is very nice. Only negative is that the USB access is a little sluggish and there is a bit of a delay moving slide to slide. If the unit could cache the next slide or have a faster USB reader design that would make this a 5 star easily. |
